My visual art and

craft practice

is playful, colorful, wide-ranging, and mutable. It informs my larger scale installation and performance practice as a space for investigation, experimentation, play, and re-purposing of scrap materials.

And it is also a way that I share my art with the larger world — i.e people like you!

interested in purchasing something?

I do not have a formal online store! But I do welcome inquiries on current inventory and commissions via email — alrich.claire@gmail.com.

I also occasionally do craft fairs and art markets. Follow me on instagram @calllrich for the latest updates.

My mixed media visual art work

includes silk wall hangings, acrylic paintings, and sewn collage. Currently my work can be found in home, office, and restaurant settings.

Formally abstract, I use color and texture to create multi-layered visual art that attends to the somatic experience. Working intuitively, I pull from obsessions with landscape, map-making, flags, and the exact slant of light through my apartment window.

Hand-sewn and hand-dyed — I create textile objects for the home and body. this includes:

embellished tote bags, silk-scrap scrunchies, sewn-collage-cards, revamped sweatshirts, soft-cubes, art buttons, silk clothing, quilts, stuffed animals, and list keeps growing…!

Below is a non-chronological, non-categorical, non-hierarchical, gallery of my visual art and craft work.
